Netflix is once again facing criticism for new woke children’s programming, which reignited after comments from Dead End: Paranormal Park creator Hamish Steele surfaced online. Steele, who created an animated series featuring a transgender main character, drew outrage for mocking the death of pro-family activist Charlie Kirk. This revelation has fueled fresh criticism that the streaming platform is using children’s programming to push divisive LGBTQ ideology.
Adding to the backlash, parents have expressed concern over other Netflix shows aimed at young viewers. One recent example includes a program in which a young boy dances in a dress for two male parents. Not only is there no reason for children to be engaging in this behaviour, there is also no reason for them to be exposed to these materials.Â
Now, high-profile figures like Elon Musk are calling for families to cancel Netflix subscriptions, warning that the platform’s content could be harmful for kids. Online campaigns using the hashtag #CancelNetflix have gained traction among conservative groups nationwide. Along with the social media outrage, Netflix’s stock price has started to fall.
Despite the backlash, Netflix hasn't changed its programming choices and its catalog continues to reflect LGBTQ insanity and woke nonsense. The streaming giant has crossed a line by undermining parental rights and exposing children to themes that are inappropriate.
For Texas families, this is about more than entertainment. As the debate continues, families across Texas are left weighing whether Netflix can be trusted to provide content consistent with their values, or whether it has strayed too far into cultural activism at the expense of childhood innocence. The safest way to protect your children at this point is to cancel the subscription and search for alternative options. Stay vigilant and ensure the materials society throws at your children are appropriate and reflect your values.
