Fort Worth Goes Woke

Once known as a cornerstone of traditional values and faith-based American culture, the City of Fort Worth, a proud part of Tarrant County, the largest Republican county in the United States, has taken a sharp turn left. As Pride Month rolls ahead in full force, the city government has made its allegiance clear, and it’s not to God, country, or community. Their allegiances lie with the radical leftist agenda.
Instead of honoring the values on which our nation is built, the City of Fort Worth chose to raise a rainbow banner and post “Happy Pride Month” messages across its social media platforms. They are clearly more concerned with virtue signaling than with serving their taxpaying and predominantly conservative citizens.
This is more than a social media decision. It’s a moral declaration! And sadly, it’s one in stark opposition to the values of the people they claim to represent.
The Republican Mayor of Fort Worth now finds herself under scrutiny, and rightly so. We elect leaders to uphold our values, not pander to loud activist minorities who seek to undermine the family, faith, and freedom that define us. Tarrant County voters didn’t send conservative officials into office so they could turn around and fly the flag of leftist ideology. They sent them to lead with conviction, to be unashamed of their Biblical roots, and to push back against the darkness creeping into every corner of American life.
We’ve reached a point where cities in deep red Texas are behaving like woke havens in California or New York. It’s a wake-up call. The spiritual battle in this country is not just in the classrooms or in Washington. It’s right here in our own backyards!
As Christians and conservatives, we must stop being silent. We must stop assuming our elected officials will stand strong without our voices forcing them to do the right thing. Many officials fold under pressure, afraid of being labeled "intolerant" or "hateful" by activists who reject the moral foundation of our nation.
Fort Worth’s capitulation is not just disappointing—it’s dangerous. Every compromise in culture is one more step away from God’s truth and one more step toward moral chaos.
If we truly want a government that reflects the will of the people, then the people must rise up! We need bold churches, informed voters, and unwavering elected officials who fear God more than they fear man. Fort Worth can and should be a city that honors Biblical values again—but it will only happen if we demand it.
Let’s pray for our leaders. Let’s speak out in love, but without apology. And let’s remember righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34).
The time for passive conservatism is over. Fort Worth, and all of Texas, must return to its roots before it’s too late.
