The Kennedy name has had a significant impact on U.S. politics for decades, and now Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is making his bid for the White House. Forgoing the Kennedy family’s long legacy of Democratic party affiliation, RFK Jr. has decided to run for president as an Independent. His status as an Independent has seemed to detract a substantial amount of moderate voters from the Republican party, but many of his stances on issues have been questionable, to say the least.
In a recent appearance on “The Sage Steele Show,” RFK Jr. gave his position on Roe v. Wade and what the future of abortion laws would look like under his administration.
Kennedy made two glaring points during the discussion. First, he believes that states’ rights should have zero impact on determining the legality of abortion. Second, he stated that abortion decisions should be solely left to the discretion of women, even going as far as condoning full-term terminations. This would include babies that are fully viable outside of the womb. According to NPR, there were over 1 million deaths due to abortion in 2023 alone, which is over double the amount of deaths US military personnel faced in World War II. The abortion movement is detrimental to the sanctity of life and the well-being of families across America.
Abortion isn’t the only item where RFK Jr. holds radical viewpoints. He has previously shown support for the physical transition of children; however, he later walked back these comments after pressure from his base, stating that such procedures should not be allowed to anyone under the age of 18. Still, he refuses to acknowledge how destructive the transgender ideology is for people’s mental health and physical wellness in long-term case studies.
In an interview from several months ago, RFK Jr. stated that the most critical votes for his presidential bid would need to come from Donald Trump’s voter base. Some Republican voters have the false impression that since he left the Democratic party, RFK Jr. is somehow aligned with their interests when in reality, he only left the party because he could not the Democrats’ blessing since Biden holds the office.
RFK Jr. has extremely skewed views on what's best for the family unit and children. Texas Family Project President Brady Gray labeled Kennedy as a demonic figure on X after seeing his support of full-term abortions. He is an evil force that will pull people away from pro-family fighters. Make sure you do your due diligence when researching candidate platforms in upcoming elections.
