Crucial Victories for Our Children

A few last minute victories were won this week in the 89th Texas Legislative Session. The bills highlighted in this article are crucial in our mission to end the sexualization of Texas children.Â
Protecting Our Children from Predators in the Classroom
House Bill 4623 (HB 4623), authored by Representative Mitch Little (R-Lewisville), was introduced as a bold step toward holding school districts accountable when they hire, protect, or fail to report educators who sexually or physically abuse students. The Texas House passed the bill with strong support, but after being sent to the Senate, critical amendments were adopted that weakened its original intent. The Senate’s version still allows for civil lawsuits against districts that fail to act, but it raises the legal standard from simple negligence to gross negligence or intentional misconduct, making it significantly harder for victims to seek justice. The revised bill also caps damages more narrowly and softens the consequences for schools. The bill still represents progress, and for that, we are thankful, but it no longer delivers the sweeping accountability it promised. In an age where crimes against children are tragically on the rise, this legislation should have been strengthened, not watered down.
For too long, activist administrators and education bureaucrats have prioritized institutional image over child safety. That must end. Real accountability is the only path to real protection for Texas children.
Cleaning Up Our Libraries: No More Filth in Schools
Senate Bill 13 (SB 13), by Senator Angela Paxton (R-McKinney), passed the Texas House and is just a few steps away from the Governor’s desk. This vital legislation is designed to remove vulgar, sexually explicit, and age-inappropriate materials from our public school libraries. Our tax dollars should never be used to place obscene content into the hands of minors under the guise of "education" or "inclusivity."
Parents across the state have been rightfully outraged by the content discovered in school libraries, including books filled with graphic sex, LGBTQ+ ideology, and anti-Christian worldviews. SB 13 answers the outrage with action.Â
If this bill becomes law, it will represent more than a legislative win; it’s a spiritual victory! It’s about reclaiming our schools from a culture seeking to corrupt the minds and hearts of our youth.
Standing Firm as the Session Ends
As the session wraps up early next week, we look forward to providing a full report on all the battles fought, won, and still to come. To every Texan who called, prayed, and showed up, we thank you. This fight is far from over, but make no mistake: we will not back down!
