On Thursday night, Texas Family Project’s Executive Director Kaden Lopez went undercover to expose a shocking event hosted at a Lutheran church in New Braunfels. The event, “Interfaith Pride Worship Night,” features drag performer Flamy Grant, a spin on the popular Christian female artist Amy Grant.

The event, which claimed to be a worship service, quickly revealed itself as a distortion of Christianity. Instead of honoring the Word of God, the evening centered on celebrating LGBTQ “pride” through song, drag performance, and ritual candle lighting to “honor” various LGBTQ groups.

As the service began, attendees sang songs glorifying “pride” rather than the Lord. Then, as the night went on, organizers lit colored candles, one for individuals with HIV/AIDS, another for black LGBTQ individuals, another for bisexuals, and others for lesbians and other groups. The atmosphere grew stranger and more blasphemous with each act.

Disturbingly, many children were in attendance and were forced to witness this blatant mockery of faith. Parents sat idly as false teachers twisted God’s Word into an agenda that has no place in any Church.

Flamy Grant, a drag queen from the Carolinas, headlined the event. Under the guise of “inclusion,” the church platformed drag culture in a sacred space, promoting messages of rebellion rather than repentance.

Interestingly,  New Braunfels had originally planned to host its annual Pride Festival this weekend at the Comal County Fairgrounds. However, the venue canceled the event after recognizing it would not be appropriate for families and children. Despite that, another local church is reportedly attempting to host the festival, raising serious questions about why a house of worship would host something deemed too inappropriate for public fairgrounds.

Executive Director Kaden Lopez of Texas Family Project issued a strong statement following the event:

“What we witnessed tonight was not worship; it was heresy. These so-called ‘churches’ are teaching in direct opposition to God’s Word. They have traded the Gospel of repentance and salvation for a gospel of affirmation and sin. The Lord’s name is being used to justify behavior that He clearly calls us to turn away from.”

This disturbing trend of woke churches embracing radical gender ideology and sexual immorality in the name of “love” is spreading rapidly across Texas and the nation. What used to be sacred spaces of worship are now being turned into platforms for moral confusion and cultural rebellion.

At Texas Family Project, we remain steadfast in proclaiming Biblical truth. God created two genders, male and female. His Word is clear about sin, and true love calls sinners to repentance, not affirmation.

Churches are meant to be beacons of truth, not venues for ideological indoctrination. When the world tries to twist Scripture to fit its desires, it is the duty of believers to stand firm, speak truth, and protect the next generation from deception.

We were made aware of this event because of a tip from a Texas Family Project supporter. If you know of any events like this coming up near you, submit an inquiry on our contact form. To support our work in traveling across the state to expose this woke nonsense, donate here.
