Weatherford, TX. April 3, 2023 - Texas Family Project Policy Director Austin Griesinger issued the following statement:
"We want to thank Senator Donna Campbell and all of the Republican senators who listened to the voices of the grassroots Texans and removed the controversial amendment to SB 14 that would have continued to allow children to receive abusive gender transition drugs. This action puts SB 14 on a better path to becoming law and protecting Texas children from abuse. We are grateful that the process was respected and Senator Campbell and Republicans in the Texas Senate prioritized protecting Texas kids over listening to special interest groups who want to play politics. Today was a win for Texas kids."
