Fort Worth Bar Hosts Disney-Themed Drag Show For Minors

Sexually explicit drag shows pose a significant threat to the innocence of children. Many Texans are under the false presumption the issue has already been taken care of - but this isn’t the case. In fact, we are seeing an exponential rise in “family-friendly” sexually explicit drag shows targeting children.

The Red Goose Saloon in Fort Worth near Sundance Square hosted a Disney-themed drag show that welcomed minors. TFP sent a representative to the show a few weeks ago to see what kind of content children are being exposed to. Performers at the show openly mocked Jesus Christ repeatedly, but they seemed to be somewhat reserved to make sure they wouldn’t be put on “TMZ.” Our verdict from the show was clear: this is no place for a child to be. Men dressed as women danced extremely sexually and used egregious and inappropriate language throughout the entirety of the show.

The drag show returned this past weekend with a new Disney-themed performance - and there’s no question who the intended audience was. The frequency of children’s themed drag shows is not a coincidence. There is an overt intention to indoctrinate kids with a new, radical gender ideology by making such behavior seem normal.

Many Texans think all-age drag shows stopped with the passage of Senate Bill 12 during the 2021 legislative session; however, the bill has been unenforceable due to federal courts that have expressed concerns over a 1st Amendment violation of freedom of expression. Senate Bill 12 aimed to put a stop to “sexually oriented performances on public property, on the premises of a commercial enterprise, or in the presence of a child; authorizing a civil penalty; creating a criminal offense.”

As of now, there is nothing that law enforcement can do to put an end to all-age drag shows because of the fact everything is “fake.” Performers do not reveal actual genitals, and as long as they stay slightly covered, they can do and say whatever they want. The only way to prevent these shows is through public pushback. TFP has played an instrumental role in getting a number of these shows shut down through Defend Our Kids: Texas Action Alerts. Venues that host these shows are scared of the publicity because they know what they’re doing is wrong. With your continued support, we can get drag shows shut down in Texas for good and have appropriate enforcement methods to go along with them.
