Anti-Christian Protests Signal Warning to Texans

A peaceful Christian event in Seattle this week, complete with worship music, preaching, and prayer,—was met with hostility, condemnation, and outright chaos. This is a sobering reminder of just how far our nation has drifted from its moral and constitutional foundations.
The Christian group behind the public event, having obtained all the necessary city permits, held their gathering in accordance with the law. But in a city saturated with radical leftist ideology, where LGBTQ activism and Antifa extremism run rampant, this simple act of faith was met with violence. And rather than defend peaceful citizens exercising their First Amendment rights, Seattle’s Mayor chose to vilify the victims by labeling the Christian group as “extreme right wing.”
Let that sink in: the people who followed the law, worshiped peacefully, and preached the Gospel were condemned by the city’s highest authority, while the ones who tried to shut them down with rage and intimidation were coddled and enabled.
This is not just backwards, it’s dangerous.
Thankfully, Deputy Director of the FBI Dan Bongino issued a necessary statement affirming “Freedom of religion isn’t a suggestion.” His commitment to investigating the violence against the Christian group is commendable and crucial. But the fact this even needs to be said in America, a nation founded on religious liberty, is both heartbreaking and enraging.
Seattle has shown its cards. City leaders are not just passively ignoring religious freedom, they are actively working against it. They are siding with angry mobs over law-abiding Christians. They are celebrating moral confusion and chaos.
Why This Matters for Texas
Stories like this should sound an alarm for every believer and every freedom-loving Texan. We are not immune from this kind of event! What happens in Seattle today could happen in Austin or Dallas tomorrow if we let our guard down. These big cities hold massive influence, and most are willing to condemn Christianity if it stands in the way of their radical agenda.
This is why we must continue to elect morally sound leaders, pass strong legislation protecting religious freedom, and refuse to compromise our values. Our churches, schools, and families must remain firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word. We cannot bow to pressure, and we must never apologize for proclaiming the Gospel.
Hold the Line and Stand Firm
The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:12, “Indeed, all who desire to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” That is not just ancient truth,it is present-day reality!
Let Seattle be a wake-up call. As Christians, we must never be afraid to speak the truth, even when the world hates us. We must stand boldly, even when city officials and activist mobs try to silence us. And above all, we must remember politicians rise and fall, but our King is still on the throne.
Texans, do not give ground. This is the time to plant your flag firmly in the soil of faith, freedom, and conviction!
